how can my husband get us citizenship?
he was born in russia, but move to the united states when he was 3. his family left russia when it was still the soviet union so they had to forefit citizenship to come here which means he doesnt have citizenship in any country. he has perminent residency in the us, but i want him to get citizenship. what do we do?

that’s pretty much all he needs if he’s lived here this long and is married to a citizen.
i think you can apply for it after 5 years of residence with a green card or permanent residence.
You cannot do anything for the citizenship. He has to file N-400 for the citizenship, if he is eligible.

If he has permanent residency, he can apply for US citizenship. Another answerer gave a link to a guide for doing this. It’ll cost some money, but he is likely eligible and simply needs to file.
